PAST CONFERENCE
Take Action! SAN FRANCISCOOCTOBER 5th-11th, 2009
2009 Summit Overview
The Take Action! Impact Investing Summit facilitates peer conversations among industry leaders and trustees, CFOs and investment staff of foundations, family offices, pension funds and corporations. Impact investing (sometimes known as mission-related investing) is the practice of using financial investments as tools to further an individual or organization’s charitable mission. Current participants represent $2.4 trillion.
The Take Action! Summit focuses on those investments that deliver premium or market-rate returns. The event is carefully structured to maximize learning, exchange of information and building of peer relationships. Participants find value by: seeing how peers are making social and environmental impact through their investments; hearing how others are solving issues of fiduciary responsibility; understanding how impact investing affects financial investments and leverages the impact of grantmaking dollars; and, meeting investors and quality fund managers who may be potential collaborators.
TAKE ACTION! IS THE PRE-EMINENT GATHERING OF IMPACT INVESTORS FOCUSED ON PREMIUM – OR ABOVE MARKET-RATE – RETURNS.
